Impr[a]essum est hoc opus Mantu[a]e: [s.n.], anno domini 1519 die 30 Martii. BEIN 1991 +76: Binding: Italy? xvi c.? Original sewing on three double, tawed skin supports laced into thin paste paper boards. Plain wound endbands are sewn on tawed skin cores also laced into the boards and are tied down over a strip of parchment, the tiedowns extending to the kettle stitches. Covered with two parchment ms. bifolios one of which overlaps on the upper boards. Remains of two tawed skin tie fastenings. Lettering on the head edge. Worm eaten and the spine covering torn. |

Attributed in Proctor and Isaac, Index to early printed books in Brit. Museum, no. 12758, to the press of Bernardinus de Vitalibus and dated "after 1503"; whereas Klebs 721.1 records the printer as anonymous and dates "after 15 May 1505." For other attributions see Goff P-74.
The dedication by Alessandro Benedetti is dated "Venetiis. Idibus Maiis. M.D.D. [sic]". Signatures: 2a-2b⁴ b⁶ c-e⁴ f⁶ g-s⁴ (o4 and s4 blank). |
